Cacti

When I was about six years old, I was given a cutting of Opuntia Microdasys and some Chamaecereus Silvestrii.  After a prickly start my collection grew and it now spans about fifteen genera.  Some of the plants have been grown from seed but most have been bought from nurseries and garden centres.  Given the right conditions, even fairly young cacti are able to put on a stunning floral display.
